I enjoyed this book more than I did the first book in this series, Mr Mercedes. I do think that you’ll need to read that book first before trying to read this despite this story not being completely dependent on the first book and the ending is obviously setting up the Mr Mercedes related sequel to both books – which was my favourite part of the book admittedly…
This is one of his shorter books at only 370 pages but it’s the perfect length for the plot, which is well balanced and comes across as being interesting.
