"Hideaway"
By: Dean Koontz

This is one of Dean Koontz's earlier books, which I suspect is one of the reasons behind the fact that I really, really enjoyed it. I certainly enjoyed it a lot more than I have his newer books. That's one of the things that has always upset me about his books - his books used to be great, but he went downhill massively as he got more popular! : (

This book is one of his better ones and one I'm happy to recommend to people. It is a solid 500 pages, but is easy to read and I read the whole book in a couple of weeks despite being busy with a lot of other things. One of the things that I liked about this book was the fact that it combined his supernatural/horror type of books with his other madman/horror books, especially given that I tend to prefer his supernatural type books rather than his more standard serial killer or madman type books.
