I am trying to make a point of taking a few photos every day, so I am going to take photos of things I think are interesting around the central city in Auckland when I am there. Including works of art like the statures that are around the city.

K Rd Carpark
This is the latest mural in a carpark on K Road. It’s by Andre J. Steel - @andrewj.steel.
K Rd Owl
I saw this from the back of a carpark in K Road. I have no idea who painted it unfortunately.

Kereru
This is the new bronze sculpture opposite the Auckland Art Gallery and is of a Kereru (a wood pigeon).
Maori New Year Mural
This mural was painted on one of the wooden barriers put up outside a building site opposite the Auckland Public Library, when the library was having an event relating to the Maori New Year.

Short St Garage
This is in the area that has a lot of the Auckland University buildings and student housing. It is painted on the inside of a garage on Short St and is just off Anzac Ave.

Rainbow Heart
This is part of Heart of the City murals that have been going up in the central city in the past year. This one is by Sara Hughes and is in the alley close to High Street heading down towards the waterfront.

David Bowie Mural
This was done by Paul Walsh shortly after David Bowie’s death and is on K Road, on the wall of a music store that is in the Jewish graveyard.
BMD Ducks
This is in the top of Myers Park – close to K Road - and is done by BMD.
Children Swimming Mural
This is in the top of Myers Park and is painted on the back of one the buildings facing K Road. It's by TomTom and Misery, the Instagram accounts they’ve listed are @Miseryland and @tomtompictures.
